A client just needs to give us a clear brief on what they want to communicate
and the basics like the target audience / duration of the film. Our teams of experts who have between 10 and 20 years of filmmaking experience will provide step by step clarity to demystify the process.

What’s more, we’re advertising professionals and completely understand Brand building, Brand tone of voice, Positioning and other critical factors that need to be taken into consideration to ensure the films / videos serve their purpose.

Most of the key talent that is required to produce good quality films and videos are in-house at Blacksheep Films. We have a team of writers to work on the ideas and the scripts. We have dedicated production managers to ensure we stay within budgets and have everything perfectly planned. Our inhouse Director’s team is well versed with every aspect and every kind of film. And we have our own studio set up to ensure high quality post production tasks like Editing, Music and Color Grading are done to the highest standards.

Well, how soon do you absolutely need to screen it? We understand deadlines and we have turned complete productions around within a single week’s time! But in an ideal world 3-4 weeks is a good amount of time to avoid a rush job situation.
It really depends on the complexity of the script and as long as we know the deadline upfront we will ensure the writers think of what’s possible within the given timeframe.

We do believe that NOT having a deadline is not a healthy way to approach film making and we’d prefer to have a tight deadline than not have one at all!

This is often a hard question to answer because the truth is, as a production house that has been around for over a decade, we have done pretty much every kind of film.
There are films that require extensive CG / visual effects. There are films that revolve around celebrities. We’ve shot with CEOs and Sports Stars and also with farmers and people supported by NGOs. We’ve shot on the client’s corporate swank office and we’ve shot in the middle of the Bay of Bengal with nothing but a solitary container ship in sight!

Given the recent trend and growth of the social space, we have made several films that fall into the content marketing bucket. These films aren’t TV commercials and they aren’t corporate films either! In some cases like the D2C / eCommerce Brands and brands that need to generate leads, vertical videos and reels are critical and we’ve done maybe 1000s of those.

We could stop right there and it would be true, but let’s get a little more realistic.

What we absolutely need from a client is a simple brief. Even a one line statement of what needs to be accomplished helps is to produce the best corporate film or a quirky ad film or a viral video that could be used on social media and other platforms.

Then we need a clear and honest Budget. This helps our team of writers and art directors think within those boundaries. But many times we just write what the brief demands and the budgets follow. In film making and making videos, a client gets the benefit of what is invested.The last thing we need from clients is approvals. when a client is excited about an idea and gives the go ahead on the various components – things really start to fall in place. Creative people thrive in an environment of freedom and that would be the final thing we need from a client: their trust.

A big, fat YES! Although we are based in Hyderabad we have produced films for clients from all over India. Even when a client is based in Hyderabad it’s not necessary that the shooting / production takes place in the city itself. The city doesn’t have a beach for instance!
So thanks to many years of travelling and building a solid network across the country we have written, shot and delivered films for clients spanning Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mohali, Arunachal Pradesh, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Nellore, Gurgaon, Nagpur, Faridabad, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Malaysia, Bangkok and Dubai.

In a few instances, clients based in the US commision is to shoot for them in India and it’s worked perfectly!
